Hans Heysen "Landscape" |
Two Generations of Australian Art at NGV
The National Gallery of Victoria brings together
the work of Australian artists Hans Heysen and his daughter Nora, in the
current exhibition “Two Generations of Australian Art” at NGV Australia
Federation Square, Melbourne.
Nora Heysen "Spring Flowers" |
Hans and Nora’s work spans more than a century
during a time of important social, political and artistic changes for Australia
and the world. While Hans devoted most of his life to the depiction of
landscape, Nora became a celebrated painter of portraits and still life. However, theirs was a story of migration and family in a loving and supportive relationship.
The exhibition will run until July 28.

About the book
Imminence, the new novel by Mariana Dimópulos, translated by Alice Whitmore,
is a story about what it means to be a woman, told by a new mother who
presents her story from the margins of social life.
As
the story unfolds, we witness the increasing intensity of her struggle with
detachment as she grapples with her sense of identity and selfhood. ‘That
struggle is deep, intangible and complex,’ writes The Saturday
Paper,
‘Her
descriptions of her infant son are brilliantly defamiliarising...[Dimópulos
writes with] formal fearlessness and with a brutal commitment to illuminating
something difficult.’
Mariana
Dimópulos will appear at the State Library of NSW on Thursday 11 April in the second of
the ‘Writings from the South’ public readings series convened by J.M.
Coetzee and Gail Jones.

West Side Story at Handa Opera in Sydney Harbour
West Side Story exploded
onto Broadway in a sensational storm of exuberant dance and wistful romance.
In 2019, the landmark musical
takes the iconic stage at Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour, with famous songs
including ‘Tonight, ‘I Feel Pretty’ and ‘America’ ringing out into the balmy
night air.
Featuring fireworks every
night and a pop-up venue with comfortable grandstand seating, West Side Story on
Sydney Harbour will be a night to remember.
Raise a glass as the sun sets
and drink in the view as you share a meal in one of the five bars and
restaurants on site. Then sit back to enjoy the enthralling show, complete with
live orchestra hidden beneath the dramatic stage and state-of-the-art sound
design so you’ll hear every note.

Gambling slots neatly into 온라인카지노 this model, as just another form of entertainment for the consumer. US sports activities, significantly baseball and American football, also tend to be data-driven and statistically sophisticated to a stage that might make the typical UK fan blanch. Combine this with their intermittent action , you have got} traits that map well to television promoting, in-play playing, and perceptions of skill over likelihood. The websites of the offshore accounts he used had been unreliable. He usually worried he wouldn’t truly receive his winnings, with bank cards denied or bets misplaced within the ether. His bookie set up an internet platform where he could place wagers, and at the finish of every week, they’d settle up.
