During one of our road trips across New South Wales we came across this old and dilapidated cabin resting among tall gum trees. A bit of sunlight was filtering through the trees, giving the whole scene a touch of mystery. I thought it was a relic worth preserving on a canvas.
I did most of the painting with the palette knife in order to give it some texture. Specially the tree trunks.
