Driving along Nelson Bay Road in Port Stephens last summer, I was inspired by these two houses hiding behind the files of tall thin trees. I have driven that road hundreds of time over the years but this is the first time I actually pay attention to the beauty of this idyllic setting. Hiding away from the passing traffic.
I used the palette knife for this painting. It gives me freedom of expression, specially painting trees.
It's only a small painting but the colours are so vibrant that can lift any room.
