This artwork depicts a magical place that only exists in my imagination and I have always wanted to visit. The bright blue water, the water lilies, an old boat waiting for someone to row it across the lagoon, a distant house and an enchanted forest. The stuff of dreams.
I started this painting with washes of acrylic paint and then I used oil paint to create impasto, a thick and rich texture. I used the ink for small details like the wharf and the palisade at the back.
