Hello!
My name is Carmen Iglesias and I have been an artist for as
long as I can remember.
I have been other things too – a journalist, an art
teacher, a writer.
I was born in Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay. I did all my
schooling there, including two years architecture. I always wanted to be an
architect. But then… I got married at 20 and at 23 I was on my way to new
adventures, travelling to Australia.
Sydney is where I have lived since then, but our travels –
my husband and I’s – have taken us all over the world. We have lived a
wonderful and adventurous life and I just want to share it with you – the
people who read me.
My paintings are
inspired by the places I have visited in my extensive travels, both overseas
and across this amazing country.
My wish is for
my paintings to inspire others to live their best life.
